Additional Tech Info

1.Tech Times were confirmed.  We will be sending a seperate email with everyone's exact dates and times. PLEASE RESPOND TO THE TECH EMAIL.

2. Call Times: The evening begins at 8:00 PM.  ALL actors must be backstage no later than 7:00PM, REGARDLESS of your actual show time.  Sorry guys, the lobby gets really hectic and it will work out better in the long run if everyone's there at the same time.

3. Intermission: Intermission is after the SECOND show on the list for every night and will run approximately 15 minutes in length.  If your show is in the first half of the night, you may leave at intermission, but we encourage you to stay to see the other shows.  We also ask that you respect your fellow actors who have yet to perform that evening.

4. Outlets: There are two outlets located directly onstage and one outlet located just offstage towards the house.  If the extension cord is long enough, technically, you can put the boombox (or anything that needs to be plugged in) anywhere.

5. Theatre Availability: To book rehearsal space in the theatre, you must call Jill at 212-929-2228.  Because CenterStage is the home of many groups, we ask that if you do want space, you book it as soon as possible.

6. There will be a "god-mike" available for use in the lighting booth.  If you would like to use the microphone, please let us know in advance to tech.

7. RV Party APRIL 1st: Please tell everyone and anyone about the party and make sure you're there!

8. Jill DeArmon has graciously offered her time to watch any production in Rebel Verses.  If you want notes, she'll give you notes.  If you don't want notes, she won't give you notes.  Sometimes it's good just to have a new set of eyes come in.

Don't forget to spread the word about REBEL VERSES!  You are our best publicity!
Peace & Love.

Rebel Verses Guidelines:

1. The entire piece must not be longer than 15 MINUTES.  If you are unsure of how to time it, figure roughly 1 minute per page.  (If you're really unsure, send it to us and we'll tell you if it's too long.) If it is too long, we will contact you so you can make the necessary adjustments.

2. Your submission must be sent to either Jinn or myself no later than FEBRUARY 24thNO EXCEPTIONS.  Sorry guys, there's just too many to read.  EVERYONE must submit something in writingNO EXCEPTIONS.  Even if your piece is mostly improvised, we'll need an outline from you.

3. The performances will start at 8PM and run APRIL 5-8 (Wednesday-Saturday) and APRIL 12-15 (Wednesday-Saturday).  Once we know everyone's schedule, we will be able to set up the appropriate performance schedule, accordingly.

4. Ticket prices will remain the same at $5 for students and $10 for adults.  We are also asking that each of you bring at least 4 AUDIENCE MEMBERS to see your show.

5. Lights, Sounds, Set, and Props:

A. You will be allowed 4 LIGHT CUES, two of these cues will include lights up at the beginning of your piece and lights down at the end of it.

B. You will be allowed 2 SOUND CUES, one of these cues will include a song at the beginning of your piece, if you so desire.  You will not be allowed to end your piece with a song because of the piece that will be following yours.

C. SET: You will have your choice from 2 REHEARSAL BOXES, 2 CHAIRS, 1 SMALL SCHOOL DESK, 1 COFFEE TABLE. You may use any combination of these pieces but only from what is mentioned.  You may not bring any extra set pieces.

D. PROPS: You are allowed a MAXIMUM of 3 PROPS.  What is a prop, you ask?  To quote Jill, "Anything smaller than a watermelon."  And we'll be measuring...

E.  The BOOMBOX Question: You are allowed to bring your own boombox with your own sound, music, or otherwise, if you want.  But be aware that you must have your own person to run that boombox.
